Spa/Apple day

I was tired yesterday as I drove over to my son's house to watch my grandkids while they went to work... As the day wore on I felt funny, off, not myself. So I am going to do a spa day. I am eating only apples, taking it easy, reading in the shade by my fountain drinking iced lemonade or tea, going for an evening walk with my dog and going in the hot tub tonight after a dinner of broth. When I take a day like this when I feel sluggish, I always feel rejuvenated the next day and that feeling lasts for weeks!
My weight loss is steady, 1/2 pounds last night...

I'll update later...

I worry about these days you do... but you know your body, so as long as it works for you...

I am interested in your husbands point of view about this diet thing you are doing together... what does he think of it all, any issues. easier or more difficult for him???

Hi Dave... I really am fine on days like this... Yesterday I was just feeling a little sluggish... But I am healthy so I can do a day like these once in a while... Its like a fasting day... Only I'm eating apples and having a little broth... I always take it easy too... I don't exercise on apple day either... well except for my little walk... but its more of a stroll.

Mike, My Hubby does this diet with me to make it easier on me, but I don't think this is the diet for him. He is a snacker and its too hard to say within our calorie limitations plus the food list is short. He doesn't have as much weight to lose as I do either so in a few days he will be done with the diet and will be able to increase his caloric intake and eat more of a variety of food. One very good outcome for Mike tho, is he is type 2 diabetic and on this diet he only had to use his insulin 2 times in the last 6 weeks! That's a huge plus! Honestly he really doesn't like the restrictions, even tho I try every hard to make great meals out of the list of food I can use.

I will be done with this diet on May 18th. and if I make my goal of 30 pounds I will need to maintain that for 12 weeks, until I can go on the diet again. My Doc had us take a long break in-between to re-nurish our bodies with Omegas and other things that we might be missing. Its really hard to maintain. I hope Mike can do it. The diet is supposed to reset your hypothyamos (I can't spell it) gland. that's the one that regulates your hunger pangs. Now we just have to listen to it and push away when we are full!

Thanks Dave... I'll post in the morning so you know I"m alive and we can see how will I did on the scale too.

Take care there, I'm taking care here... off for my walk...
