Welcome to my second Tablescape Tuesday!
Hosted by Susan on her blog Between naps on the porch. My I present a "A Simple Asian Table setting." With all the hustle and bustle of the holidaze, sometimes its nice to sit down to a simple but elegant meal...

Followed by a lovely cuppa flowering Jasmine tea and chocolate covered fortune cookies.

It's lovely to meet you and your blog. I loved the chocolate fortune cookie and the flowering tea--I bought some for my mother, and she's still raving about it.
I love your dishes, too!

Hand over the chocolate covered fortune cookie, and nobody gets hurt! LOL!
You are right - after the shopping hussle, we need something soothing.
You nailed it.

I recently acquired a Primula tea pot that you use a hand sewn flower in and it opens as it steeps. Amazing to watch.
I'll definitely have to check out your other blog.

Lovely table setting. I've never had chocolate covered fortune cookies! Since I love chocolate, I would feel very fortunate to get one of those cookies, before I ever saw what the fortune said! laurie

Thank you for all the compliments everyone! Yes, I was feeling like something quiet and simple... I sent a pic to hubby on his cell phone of the tablescape and he brought home fresh sushi from our local restaurant! So that tablescape didn't go to waste and neither did the tea.

That tea was www.primulatea.com flowering tea but Numi tea has some too.

Those pretty little plates, and the clear glass tea pot are from Cost Plus. I buy large salad plates to serve dinner when we are on our 23 day low calorie diet.

I got those chocolate covered fortune cookies at CostCo and they came in a really pretty large red Chinese take out box... so cute. And they are VERY good too!

And yes I have two blogs... I have our weight loss journey and family stuff blog. It was getting too cluttered with my projects and ideas so I started "The Project Table" blog just for that stuff. Somehow this week I sent the link for this blog to Susan by mistake so I put Tablescape Tuesday on both! Sorry for the confusion...

I saved my Christmas Tablescape for next week.
Thanks stopping in!
